The Jar

"Living in a diverse city doesn't necessarily mean that you interact with a diverse population -- The Jar makes that possible," Courtland Townes III (a Jar Convener).

The Jar utilizes a Convener Model which invites you to actively build a diverse and vibrant community. As a Convener, you’ll purchase a Jar of tickets for $60 – that’s 6 tickets at $10 each. You’ll then invite:

• Your partner or other close friend
• 2 people you would normally experience culture with
• 2 people you wouldn’t normally experience culture with – people who may not look like you, pray like you, love like you, earn like you, etc. While these can be people you know – like an acquaintance, neighbor, or colleague – they are most importantly people you’d like to know better.

Together, the six of you gather to experience The Jar.
